Lake Carnegie

Lake Carnegie

Located in the northeastern portion of Princeton, Lake Carnegie is a lovely reservoir that was built in 1906 by damming the Millstone River. Money to construct the lake was donated by businessman and philanthropist Andrew Carnegie so that it could be used by the Princeton University rowing team. The lake, though privately owned by Princeton University, is open to the public for fishing, boating, ice skating, hiking, biking and other outdoor activities.
